That downy is a great catch
    All very nice.
Wish I could shoot little birdies.
Just don't have the set up
  3. WOW! Nice birdies! Glad I'm not the only one having trouble with getting too close! I've been getting chopped off feet and tails all day! GRRR!
  4. Nice ones. Pity it was too close. That's what happens sometimes with primes. :)
  5. Nice, Jim. Mr. Downey looks rather irate.

What exactly did you say to the Downy to make him so mad?
  7. Thanks Gale!

I need one of those 200-400 VR lenses for sure so I can zoom out when necessary!

Yea, not enough time to move back. Thanks for looking!

Not sure what the story was with him Dave. Once he started feeding he looked normal...

    Pose???
  8. Jim, really nice shots. Love that Downy.
  9. Nice sharp photos Jim. Looks like you gotta back off on a few as you are really filling the frame:biggrin::biggrin:
  10. Thanks Jim! That's f/f, 300 f/4 AFS w/1.4 TC. these little guys are fairly bold...
  11. Thanks Lou! I set myself up to get finch-size birdies and then these guys come in! Oh well...
  12. Cool... a Downey with a spike haircut and an attitude!

Great captures Jim... I also like the close-up of the catbird....
