^^ haha no kidding, I would have been scared to death especially without the strap around the neck.

It's my old D70, so not really. And he didn't!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw his little hands around that camera.

I always make people put the strap around their neck when they are taking pictures with MY camera.

    The images are very cute.
  9. yeah....
    awesome shots
but... without the strap around his neck.....
you must be braver than me....

He's got better form then most adults i've seen.
  11. I think the D300 strap is what's causing the concern. I saw the strap as well but something looked a little off on the body. But now that you mention that it's a D70 I see the shooting mode dial and LCD light button.

    Very cute shots.
  12. Cute sequence. # 2 looks just like the guy in the hand-holding tut on Nikonians. I assume he's checking the histogram, not chimping, in # 3.

Nice shots. That's a good way to get another photographer in the family.
  14. They can never start tooooo early! My 3 year old just clicked the shutter on an old D50 for the first time two weeks ago - all on her own!

Aren't you the least bit scared letting him shoot your expensive DSLR???

I mean, he's using on camera flash

He insisted on taking some timer shots. I'm not sure why, since it's not something I do very often.

    I may have tweaked this one a bit . . .

Thanks for the kind words, all.

As I posted above, he's using my old D70 (with 24 f/2.8). It has a D300 strap because I don't like Nikon's straps and my D300 has a ThinkTank strap. I put the D300 strap on the D70 just so he'd have something; of course, being 3.5, he objected to having the strap around his neck and I wasn't going to interrupt our little photographic expedition over the issue. I've put that D70 through more abuse than he could just walking around the yard.

Thanks for adding those, Tim! Looks like he's got a good eye. I like the B&W one...it would make a great avatar for you!
