Brought my new D800 and a 70-200mm VR to a ball game and took some initial shots in AF-C, L-Norm, 100 ISO mode to check out the in-camera processing. Normally I always shoot in NEF, but I was pleasantly surprised:

Is that Safeco Field? Do they allow long lenses? My home park (AT&T Park, Go Giants) does not permit lenses over 5 or 6" long (or something like that) unless you have a press pass.

Yes, it is Safeco Field and yes, I asked before hand ... No "real" long lenses allowed; said the 300mm f/2.8 (10.5") was about the limit. Also said as long as I didn't interfere with others enjoyment of the game.
I was sitting in the Club level, row 1. :)
