Took my IR-D70 out

I was sorting out my camera cupboard at the weekend and spotted my old converted D70 at the back, so I stuffed a battery in it and took it for a walk.

Never mind. Found LifePixel online. They do it for a D80 (and many other old Nikons), but they want $275 for it.
Too pricey as it is more than the camera is worth, for something I will rarely use anyway.

Great image. I use my original unmodified D100 and an IR filter. works fine with exposures in the 1 to 5 second range. Bit of a pain to compose W/O the filter then bracket but the results are good.
