Torshavn, Faroe Islands

  1. Torshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands. Here are some shots while wandering around town.

    In this statue, the national bird of the Faroe Islands, the Oystercatcher saves the man from an attacking Raven, a local legend I believe :confused::

    A local watering hole:

    Scotland was going to play a football match against the Faroes in a day or two. The Scots were here in large numbers, I wonder if any of them were still upright by game time :biggrin::biggrin:
