Were they shot in jpeg or raw ?


My son is a runner so I have never shot these events..They are in a different area at the field..I may try to get some shots this week if weather allows...The rain and cold are coming again. These look like fun.

Shot in jpeg, no sharpening..nothing applied. A mistake on my part. I'm using a Mark IIn...which has an anti-aliasing filter in front of sensor. In short, even if exposure, and focus is dead on, sharpening needs to be applied..either in camera settings, or in post processing.
So that's what the manual is for. Amazing what I can learn by reading it.
Guess the old adage is true;
If all else fails, read the instructions.:smile:

Track and Field can be the hardest sport to shoot, Randy gave some sound advice the eyes are key with that said this is hard since they are coming at you and the AF can be misleading Overall they look good

I am shooting in raw for the most part. Which allows for more adjustments after the fact. My pp skills are really not that good. Still have tons to learn about that. I think no matter what gear you have or what format you are shooting in almost every shot can benefit from a little sharpening..JMO

Just remember to keep having fun...And enjoying the hobby.
