Traveling light on a bike ride 2

This was a 6 hour ride ! At the rate of one acceptable shot per hour, there are still three to go.

This one I liked for the contrast. The background if from the weed covered water of a little pound. It was cloudy, but the next one was taken from the same spot under the bright sun.

Thank you Don for your detailed follow-up on these. I like the dimmed tones of the first, but it lacks shaprness due to a shallow DOF.

Gilles, this is all handheld, with VR turned on. The idea is to ride light. With an extra battery, and the small LowenPro bag I tie to the waist, it weights 1.250 kilo (about 2.75 pounds).

I like the last one, something about the way the light reflection looks. I can't remember the name of an era in art history where they used small dobs of paint but this reminds me of that.

Thanks, Don. I think you are referring to pointillism. The ffect here is of course due to the organic matters floating on the water.
