I'm still trying to get through all of the shots that I took, but I came across these and thought I'd take a break and post them. All taken with the D2H / 300 2.8.

    Scratching an itch:

    Just posing:

    The Reddish Heron:

OK, back to the salt mines for more fun and games with NC and PS CS.

    Very Pretty.....

I thought that was a Reddish Heron. Seems I have one somewhere.
I just thought my colors were all goofed up...Thanks.

The second portrait of him, shows him really really nice.

    Thanks for sharing these.
  3. Ok, I'm going to be dense here. Aren't these all tricolors? The 1st and 3rd have more reddish legs. The 1st and 2nd have visible white. All three have the white feathers on the top of their head. Aren't they all the same bird breed?

In any case, these are great shots. Is it the lens or your pp that makes them so dimensional?

Nice shots! Looks like the 300/2.8 is a real winner. Oh yeah, I'm sure the photographer had something to do with these images. Can't wait for your first flight shots!

I haven't seen these before I saw the pics from this trip. They're beautiful birds. Good photos too.
