I caught these two hanging around so I went inside and grabbed my D300.

What a cool camera! These were taken with a Tamron 28-75 F2.8 and SB-800.

BTW, Photobucket automatically reduces the image size. These are shown at approximately 50%. I uploaded a 100% crop, but this is the result. I don't know how to upload a large image size.

WOW. Great detail. You know the detail is good when you make a face and say ack. LOL.
  3. Excellent images, look forward to more of your shots.
  4. Good job. Photographing bugs is fun.

Nice start here in the macro forum Rob, you got some good close shots here.

In the future remember that the maximum width of images posted on the cafe is 900px, any larger and they will be automatically resized.
  6. Good start in macro, Rob. Nice images. Thanks for posting them.

Everyone, thank you for the kind words.

The images are much better at 100% because of the extra detail. I'm very happy with the D300 and it's ability to capture detail (and also excellent low light work at ISO3200). I think that it's the best value on the market for performance vs. price.

This is a 100% crop but only 880 pixels wide.
