This is one of those shots about which bokeh and shallow DOF dominate rather than compliment, I think.
I was at 1/50th f1.8 in HSC mode so 170mm equivalent makes handholding problematic. ISO was already up at 800(Maybe D3Xs will have clean ISO 6,400??)
Actually in the original the lateral sides of the alter were way way brighter totally dominating the shot. A bit of quick mask,gradient-ed curves toned it down.
I love available light.
