I'm not going to update mine, since I don't use any in camera distortion control. I do all of that in post.

What is the purpose of this update. If I shoot in RAW all the time, do I need to update? Are these lens distortion corrections only for JPEGs?

I asked this question in the other Update Thread.

It appears to me that it only applies when you use the Retouch Menu (on a D600).

Since each update for NX2 includes these Lens Updates the RAW shooter is covered??

Thanks Dave. Looks like Thom Hogan also updated his site that it only affects JPEG shooters. So for those of us RAW shooters and CNX2 users, it shouldn't matter.

Nikon often "throws in" non-disclosed tweaks on these updates. Case in point, the recent one
for the D700. Remarkable improvements regardless of RAW/Jpeg shooting preference. Can't hurt. :biggrin:
