Just wanted to update. I've upgraded from D40 to D80; an amazing piece of machinery. It has now enabled me to use my old AF Zoom Nikkor 35-70 that now autofocuses on D80.

On the sidelines, I'm also exchanging my current SIGMA 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 DG Macro with a APO SIGMA 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 DG Macro.

    C&C please...

did you decide to keep the D40 or sell it ? Don't forget about playing around the creative lighting system, it's very cool. How do you feel about the IQ movng from the D40 ?

I exchanged my D40 for the 80. I'm still experimenting. The IQ in D80 is more vivid & sharp.

Not to be stupid, but I am new to the digital game, what is IQ?

    IQ - Image Quality..........

Congrats on your D80. My cousin just recently purchased as D80, with the 18-138mm lens.

    Thanks. 18-138mm??? I thought the kit lens with D80 is a Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED
