Just to mix it is up a little from Graham's wonderful UK Football pictures. The high school football season kicked on in Tennessee this past Friday and I was asked to cover the defending class 4A start champions as they took on one of the preseason favorite 6A teams. The 4A team came away with a 34-15 win. Crowded stands made for some wonderful blurred background color, I just wish they wore masks.

I used a 400mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 for most of the game. Shot manual at 1/1600 sec at f/2.8 and adjusted ISO as needed as the game when from sun to stadium lights.

Sweet work, surprised that this is HS. Looks very much like a college or pro game with excellent stadium lighting. Again very well done.

Great set Todd!
I love the colours & my pesonal pick being # 2 & 6.

I use to cover American Football here in the UK many moons ago aka early/mid nineties.
then I used Nikon F3's & FM2's I used a 70-200 that was the size of a Thermos & luckily had the use of a, then very expensive Tamron adaptall 300 2.8 all shot on XP B&W film lol.
If I ever come across the negs I'll post a few. Regards Graham.

It is high school but this game was played at a small local college. The high schools new turf is taking a little longer then planned to get out in.
