This is a photo sharing forum, so I thought it would be interesting to see photos of us in the old days, however far back that goes. I've been scanning old slides lately and ran across this. Me, 1974, 28 yrs old, single, IBM paycheck, no one to tell me what not to buy . What did you look like in your 'old days'?

You haven't changed a bit, Jim! Makes me recall our NM photo outing w/ Beth, Ron Resnick, David Cramer, et al. ?

Sailing the Bahamas on a chartered sailboat in the summer of 1989 just out of college. I was 24 years old. My classmate Andrew is in the background. We sailed from Fort Lauderdale to Grand Bahama Island, sailed around the Bahamas for a week, spent the last night at Bimini, and sailed back to Fort Lauderdale. This was a barracuda we had caught by trolling off the back of the sailboat.

Did you eat the barracuda? I ask because, despite that my school years of 6th - 12th grade were spent in Miami, I had never heard of anyone eating barracuda. Decades later I ate barracuda grilled with barbecue sauce on a beach in Mexico and it was delicious.

That's me in 81 , sailing aboard an ore carrier ( named Voluta ) from Canada to Russia , this is on the ocean North of Scotland .... Using a sextant no computer on board then , celestial navigation to determine longitude and latitude...
