Was out on the deck on this dreary day looking for some feathered creatures to shoot at the pond, when in a moment of boredom, I pointed my D2X, with the 200-400VR + TC 1.7 mounted, on this Gerberra start. Actual focal length: 650mm! Distance: oh, about 10ft!

Thanks guys, and Greg, that f13 was just enough

I took another @f11, and that f-stop didn't get the whole blossom in focus! And, that green you see is my lawn in the distance!

Great photo. I love the colors. Makes me want to go out and take flower photos with my 'Bigma"!!

Having shot 100's of flowers in my "Early Days" of DSLR photography, I still go back and do one now and then when there's nothing else around!
