Utah had an exhibition today against NAIA Warner Pacific. Needless to say Utah crushed them, 111 to 56. And it wasn't even that close!

Not much action to be honest. You would think you would with that high of a score, but Warner Pacific 36 turnovers which basically turned into 36 fast breaks.

Anyways here are some shots from the game. I was very rusty and was only able to get a low % of good shots. Need to shoot some more.

I shot the game with a Nikon D3s, 70-200 VRII and a Nikon 35 F1.8.

ISO was between 3200 and 8000. I also used a 1.4TC in I believe 2 of these shots.

yeah #9 was taken by placing the camera on the floor. I shot that with the D3s and 35mm F1.8

Great captures.

Extremely clean. And the bokeh looks very smooth. How do you feel about the low noise of the D3s?....looks like plenty of detail along with low noise, amazing.

Geez Matt, can't they play outside? In front of the mountains? If not, you did a great job for moving indoors!

Shots look great, but wow, where are all the spectators???

Since there isn't any exif on the shots, what were your ISO settings for most of the shots?

Geez, I fell behind in this thread. Thanks to all that commented!

Mike,

The D3s noise levels are ridiculous. They are so fine (grain wise) that they clean up really nicely. LR3 really does an awesome job with them.

Tim,

Yeah no kidding, kinda boring backgrounds lol Empty seats :(

ISO was anywhere between 3200 and 8000. I believe the images I posted are in that range with most in the 5000.

I hate the new flickr posting rules they have, hard to get exif data from the images now unless you click on them and go to their site. Very annoying.

Dave,

That is what they usually get, kinda sad to be honest. Their team is always good. I think the most I have ever seen is maybe a 1,000 fans.

Jeff, Randy, chemisti and steve,

Thank you very much! I think the D3s is made for everyone :) If only a billionaire would donate money to buy one for all of us lol
