These were all out near Davis, Ca and most were with the 300mm f/4 and 1.4. In the spot where i last posted about the Great Horned Owls i have now found a resident White Tailed Kite, the GHO and babies, a Long-Eared Owl, and a pair of Swainsons hawks with a nest. All of this is in a 150 yard stretch of dirt road where nobody drives. It is a nice spot. I'll just post my favorites, the rest can be seen here, http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a31/bolden916/.

    C&C is welcome.

GHO. Unfortunately on this one i started shooting before she took off in hopes of getting her right as her feet left the tree, but the d50 only has a 4 shot buffer, so after the last shot i was left just watching her.

This is the one i could not identify. I am pretty sure it is some type of flycatcher by just looking through google. An id would be nice.

All of these are good but the second owl image is spectacular! What a beauty. I think your bird id is a Western Kingbird.
  4. Great series! Western Kingbird is correct. Great shots on that bird.
