Most of my photos are tilted Rodney, unless I am trying to make it geometrical. Tilt with a true vertical however, needs a wide angle, so the scene will tilt in different directions on different parts of the picture. To tell the truth, I like the tilt in your 'alley with bug' shot much better than the merely crooked horizon here.
i like tilted horizons as well, but sometimes struggle to avoid them. in this shot i find the diagonals set up by the white hiway lines real strong. i was just thinking 50mm contrasted to 24mm in therms of effect on viewer perspective.
