We had a trip to Verbier, Switzerland, this week. Since the main purpose wasn't photography I didn't want to bring along my Nikon gear. Instead I brought along the OMD EM5ii, 9-18, 12-40 f2.8 and 40-150R. A fairly compact kit which do cover a great focal range. Verbier is fantastic and I would love to come back sometime.

The location looks stunning! And the slopes seem to offer anything from expert to novice runs! Beautiful images...and family, too!

Excellent set. The µ4/3 gear does a great job in good light.

Have you been there for the famous music festival? I've watched some of the performances on Medici.tv.

what a great set
Thank you very much.

Great series! Looks like a photography/recreation area. Jeff
Thanks, the scenery is indeed stunning and I bet this place has a lot to offer in regard to recreation in the summer as well.

Nicely done; some very nice pictures there.

Thank you. The slopes can indeed be challenging. It is possible to get to the top peak, Mont-Fort at 3.330 m, by "cable."

Wonderful series!!

How was the snow? I'm off to ski in Zermatt in a few weeks.
Thank you. The weather was perfect with about 10 Celcius during the day, then it cool off as soon as the sun went down with negitive degrees Celcius at night. The snow was never slushy, all in all quite good conditions.

Thnak you. I was very happy with the performance of the M43-system given its shortcomings. I'll post an image in the next post which gave the system some trouble due to (lack of) dynamic range. I have never been there before and didn't know the city had a music festival. But I would not mind returing at som point.

This image was challenging due to the great dynamic range. I bet a larger sensor could have managed the highlights better.

I used to go there in the 70's when I lived in Berne. I'm impressed with the quality of the photos. All I had was a Pentax film camera and a 35mm lens!
