    Tokina 80-200 f2.8 MF,

I think i recalled someone on here saying this was a very good quality lens, And I have seen numerous 80-200 f2.8 threads, so maybe someone could use it.

I probably should have gotten this instead of the Nikon 180 f2.8 MF that I just bought but hey, its all timing!

EDIT: Just saw this below it, decent price for the AF seekers. (Sigma 70-200 HSM) http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/525943
  2. I don't have enough posts at FM to see the prices but I know for a fact that the Tokina 80-200mm f/2.8 is not extremely sharp at f/2.8, sharpening up by f/3.5 at 80mm but not until f/4.5 or 5.6 at 200mm. My copy of the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX D HSM is much sharper at f/2.8 throughout and focuses much quicker (though not quite Nikkor 70-200mm VR sharp or fast).
  3. Ya I figured it wouldn't be the greatest but it is only 180$ shipped and paypalled (Which I guess you can't see)
  4. At that price it's probably the older version (smooth black with red ring). I had one of those before trying the ATX Pro version and honestly it was opticly better than the newer model... AF is still pretty slow and it's not a D lens (no distance info relayed to the camera for flash) but for the price I'd take it over a cheap 55-200mm or 70-300mm (non-vr versions of both).
