Critique Very up close and purple

I was trying something different for me with my drop art photography and the experiment was mostly a failure. So, I began honing in on the details of the formations by both moving the macro lens closer to the subject and by cropping more than I've ever cropped any kind of image. These images are cropped about 90%.

EDIT: Oops! I see that I missed a blemish in the background of Photo #2.

Very cool , that 1st is special. That shade of purple is insane. Looks like you could be channeling some of the art from Marvel Graphic comics or something escaping the lab.:)
love it.
