Very young juvenile ospreys!

  1. Hi All, I’m happy to report two young additions to one of my osprey nest! Looking forward to shooting these guys in the future.

  10. Interesting nest. Note the nest is almost void of sticks; very shallow. Our Osprey nests up here are larger and deeper which provides some protection from sleep-walking chicks. Is this "style" of nest common to your area?

  12. Thanks all! I'll be following this family every other day and I'll post the photos here. I have a big day today, I'll be photographing the banding of juvenile ospreys with the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife at another nest! I'll post them as soon as I get back. The weather is cloudy this morning...hope the sun breaks out soon.

  13. Hi Mr. Ricco, I guess our Jersey ospreys are lazy because all of my nests looks very similar to this, nothing deep like you describe.
