Can someone tell me if I can set View NX as the default software for opening jpegs, tiff, and raw?

I use Windows XP and I would like to be able to set ViewNX up to auto launch upon me clicking any jpeg or other image file. Right now, I have to open ViewNX, then find the file in the directory and open it that way. This is what I am trying to work around. Any help?

Just right-click on a file and use "Open With...", select ViewNX (you might have to use browse) and make sure you select the checkbox to always open with the selected program.

Kees' suggestion is the easiest. You can also open up Windows Explorer, go to Tools->Folder Options, and select the "File Types" tab. There you'll see a list of ALL extensions and their associated programs, in case you want to change many image types to be defaulted to ViewNX.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried both ways and it works, well almost. Now ViewNX runs when I click on a the file types I choose. However, for instance, in an email, with a jpeg attachment. If I dbl click the image in the email, ViewNX launches, but does not open that file.

I have to save that file to a folder. Then I can click on it and it runs. Any thoughts on how to make it open the image when dbl clicked while viewed in my email? I use Outlook2003.

Thanks again for your help.
