drove down to the Wachodahatchee Wetlands with SteveS. Great place, boardwalk all thru it, babies in nests..
saw a little greenie fishing:
then in the middle of this clump of some type of greenerie was a Least Bittern nest with babies. I had to manually focus into the nest for some, then the baby decided to come out and say hello. Some guy there with a camera doubted I would get a shot of the chick in the nest. Thats why god invented MANUAL FOCUS:Angel: :
I believe this is a sora rail:
lots of nests with babies in various ages..
feeding time;
plenty of stilts, even a nest with eggs ( I'll post that another time)
there were turtles, purple gallinules and gators as well. I plan to go back and get some more baby shots..
