My wife and I took a day trip into Boston to enjoy the Freedom Trail and anything else we would encounter along the way. These photos were made handheld in rather quick haste with no time to adequately work the scenes.

Nice image of the state house in bright clear light. Lots of opportunities on that walk, especially as you cross over into the North End's Little Italy. Lots to see down those narrow side streets.

Thank you to John, Phil, John, Bill and Andy!

Looks like you all had a great time and a break from you desktop setup!

I'm actually feeling in withdrawal because I'm addicted to tabletop photography and haven't been able to get back to it.

#3 is the Old City Hall, I think.

Very helpful! You made my day when it comes to cataloging my photos.

#5 reminds me of the 1000 Boylston project which I believe was scrapped

The Internet tells me that only part of the project was scrapped. I'm reasonably confident that this building is the part that wasn't scrapped, as it appears that most if not all of the building's core is built and half of the skin has been installed. Also, the article that I read indicated that the 33-story tower was not scrapped, and this building is at least that tall. Your information is very helpful when it comes to cataloging the image!

Thank you also to Lyndee and Melissa!

the state house in bright clear light.

That lighting on the Old State House

Yes, I was very lucky that the light on the subject and the lack of light on the building behind it were so nice. I simply walked to the scene not having any idea what the light might be and pressed the shutter release.
