Warbird landing

  1. I caught this warbird (A6 I believe) making a few laps around the pattern at Leesburg airport (KJYO). Shame you can't hear that big powerful engine.
  2. Nice. T6 Texan, a trainer aircraft.

    I have heard them. Impressive
    Great shot and panning
  4. T6 Texan, thank you. I knew someone would know. I've seen several around giving rides but was never able to keep the models straight. I have enough trouble keeping up with models of Cessnas and Pipers.

Not cheap to fly about 55 to 65gal. per hour on take off and 25 to 30 gal per hour at cruise at $4.50 to 5.00 a gal. Nice shot of a T6

Here's the Navy version, SNJ of which I got a ride in. Actually I did my Navy flight test in a Texan in 1961.
