On Sunday morning, we heard on the news that there was a large fire on Mitchell Island, in Vancouver. As that is about 5 minutes from our home, and also where we have warehouse space for all my work tools, we raced up to the upstairs deck to have a look. It turns out the fire was actually in Richmond, a mile or so further away and it was a large Grow-Op. The building was completely destroyed and they think someone was inside at the time. You can see the size of the flames in the photo -- bear in mind that I am almost 2 miles away on the other side of the Fraser River!
