Washington, DC and surround

Discussion in 'Wanderlust and Travel' started by C2020, Jul 28, 2007.

  1. I wanted to share some final pictures of our trip to Washington,DC. The natural history museum was full of interesting dead things. I especially like the fossil of the exhausted-looking animal on top of the rocks. It's funny how is pose makes him seem tired...he's dead on his feet...

Of course the first two are not dead, I liked the praire dog for his cooperation and the tiger for his attention.

All the photos except the first two and last two were shot with the D80 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX on a monopod. The zoo and WW II memorial with the view of Lincoln's memorial were shot with the 18-200mm VR.

The last is a view looking up through one of the large monuments at the WW II memorial.

  2. Are these processed with DxO. Pretty sharp.
You did nice posing job on the Tiger shot ):

  3. Hi Sam,
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I did run the photos through DxO Optics, I'm very happy with how it helps sharpen my 18-200mmVR images.

  4. Nice, I'll have to try DXO myself.
