Critique Waterfall

Reaching this waterfall with the sun directly overhead, I attempted to get an image, knowing that the light was far from ideal. After some effort in post, this was the best I could achieve. Any thoughts on how else to salvage this?

I agree with Gary that it's a reasonably nice image. That's one of the benefits of converting to monochrome when shooting in harsh, mid-day light.

The sky doesn't add any information that enhances the image, so consider cropping at the top to below the top of the shortest trees.

I like the image as it is. I wouldn't crop the sky because the tall trees add to the image. The B&W treatment looks good too, I agree with Gary about the snow.
