This is a Watusi, a rare breed from Africa that I photographed on Tuesday in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dang Dave, if I didn't shoot the same species on Monday. Can you believe those horns!!
Very impressive horns.. and at 4 feet away.. very scary too
Well not really, they were very curious about the big fat ugly guy with the really cool looking things hanging from his neck..
I shot one of the same things at the Harmony Park Animal Reserve the weekend of the Nikon Cafe Get Together in Huntsville. I believe I posted a pic of it in that particular forum. None of my shots were as good as yours though Dave. They are magnificent creatures, aren't they! I love your 3rd shot!
I love the way you framed the images to bring out the shapes that were in play at the scene. Good job!
There isn't anything friendly looking about that animal. I like the textures in the close-up images. And some serious looking horns!!!
They were more afraid of me than I was of them.. and I needed to change my underware afterwards.
Impressive horns Dave, don't want to make these angry!!!
Very nice Watusi Dave.
