I got a d2x, partially because of the weather sealing. today I was shooting it in mild rain (not sprinkling, not pouring) and it kept giving me CHA errors, so I'd turn the cam off, and back on and it would work a little more but I was pretty disappointed by such light rain getting in to the mem card slot (there was a little water in the slot, nothing to be too worried about though). I also have a d300 which stayed dry in the trunk of my car. my question is; should the d2x be that prone to getting wet? and is the d300 better sealed than the d2x?

  2. Personally I would still use a plastic bag to cover teh camera body as much as possible no matter how much weather sealing they are supposed to have. Water seems to be attracted to electronics.
