Cool idea. Some people here should donate. I would if I had anything someone would buy. :)

A group of photographers have got together to run some charity print auctions in aid of the disaster relief effort in Japan, and are now looking for both interested art buyers and more photographers who would be happy to offer some of their work for the cause.

I kind of agree. Seems when you donate a dollar, most of it somehow rolls off the table before it reaches the people in need. I made a pretty good donation to the Red Cross for the Japanese people, but I'm sure administrators will eat most of it.
We can all hope the US Federal govt. will do whats right.......

I've been reading reports in the news that the Japanese government doesn't need financial relief, they're doing just fine. They have troops over there digging out. Various countries around the world have sent self-sufficient DART teams there. Specialists have flown in for recovery purposes from around the world. The problem with ear-marking donations is that if they're not needed for that purpose, they can't use them for other purposes. General donations to MSF gets help to where it's needed when it's needed.
