WEC Race at Spa-Francorchamps 03-04 May 2013

Last weekend, the WEC caravan arrived in Spa-Francorchamps for the second race of the season.
Nice occasion to see these fast cars live for the first time.
My 19 year old son loves this stuff and he was thrilled seeing them for the first time too.
I was alone on friday (he was at school) and of course, I took my gear with me.
I had no experience with shooting fast race cars (this was my first time) so I was anxious to see how this would turn out.
As expected, most of the shots weren't that good (mostly blurry, out of focus, you know...), so trying, trying and trying was the only option.

Finding nice spots to photograph on the circuit isn't easy, the fences around the circuit make it hard to take nice shots. I made the tour of the whole circuit and I was exhausted at the end of the day.
On saturday, it went a bit better. I met a guy from the UK (Ian, a Nikon shooter too) and he gave me some tips for shooting race cars.

All in all, we had a blast. Beautiful weather, lots of spectators and I was able to take some good shots (at least I hope they're good).

Very nicely done...That Audi and Toyota are pretty wild looking.

Only suggestion would be on #3, to swap the space, meaning, provide a little more leading room to our right, if you have it in the frame.

I don't have the space on the right to move the Corvette a little more to the left, providing more room on the right. I presume with the Crop Overlay tool in LR4?
