Wedding Album edit suggestions? (Warning 15 wide images)

Below are the proof images for the Digital Flush-mount album for my wedding. The photographer told me this was the 1st draft and I could make any suggestions for changes. Never having designed one myself I thought I’d ask for suggestions from the Nikon Café members.

What do you think of their work so far?

Beautiful....only thing that strikes me as "off" is that tan band on the last page. I don't like it being across the bride.

Lisa, Yea I plan on asking them to remove that. I'm also not that crazy about the B&W image between pages 26 & 27.

Thank you. As far as being too busy I've seen worse. I think its the only way they can fit the 50 photos they promised into the album. Its one of those albums with the very thick pages trimmed in gold. I actually looked on making my own and they run $700 to $3000!!!

Hey that's really cool. Any idea what program/
printing company the photographer is using?

I like them but I think too many colours are being used on the backgrounds. Stick to one colour theme if you're going to have busy pages.

This is the first digital album I have seen so I have nothing to compare it with, the groupings look good but it definately looks busy.

There appears to be a lot of very nice photos being used - are you going to get any of them included in the album by themselves?

Maybe I am too old fashioned, but I would expect more individual prints included - not just what you have shown to be the complete album

In this particular package we looked at, we got the photographer for the day, The original hi-res images on CD or DVD, the "Storybook" album, parents album and a 11x14 print. We spoke to a dozen or so photographers and the packages were all more or less the same, with the exception of whether or not you got the negatives or originals on CD.

I guess you don't get many prints anymore with wedding packages.

With the CD/DVD, do you get the rights to get those images printed yourself if you choose?

Oh heck yea they are already posted on my smugmug site.

Basically, with all but one of the wedding photographers I spoke to, you are paying for four things:

1. Their time and talent
2. One enlargement
3. The Digital Flushmount Album
4. Your digital negatives
