I like these a lot. Last August, we had one of these somehow make it to New Hampshire. I took a few photos but they were of the id only type.
Nice shots, nice plumageon these, btw what is the difference between a Heron and an Egret?

Nice photos - they bring back memories of birdwatching in West Africa 30 years ago.
This species is polymorphic: these look like the dark phase, but there are also grey and white ones. Did you see any of them?
