Here's a shot from the first day of my daughter's kindergarten class

    NIKON D70    ---    56mm    f/4.5    1/160s    ISO 200

Here's a shot from the last day of kindergarten:
    NIKON D200    ---    40mm    f/5.0    1/200s    ISO 100

    First day:
    NIKON D70    ---    29mm    f/4.0    1/125s    ISO 200

    Last day:
    NIKON D200    ---    27mm    f/5.0    1/200s    ISO 100

    First day:
    NIKON D70    ---    18mm    f/8.0    1/400s    ISO 200

    Last day:
    NIKON D200    ---    38mm    f/8.0    1/250s    ISO 100

I don't have very many photos from those two days. Actually, 7 to be exact (that's all I took):

    Here's an artsy one:

    NIKON D200    ---    22mm    f/8.0    1/250s    ISO 100

Beautiful shots of a very cute subject. Nemo is also VERY popular around our house.

Oh my....she really did grow up fast! She's a beautiful young lady.
  7. Glad to see your post and Ximina again.

She definitely changes a lot during this period, except one thing - she still loves Nemo.

Adorable. Be sure and save all those shots...I still have my son's pictures of every grade...and now he's going to be a Sophomore in High School. Man how the years just fly...seems like just 2 years ago he was in Kindergarten.

Thanks. I really should try posting more often. It gets me to get out and shoot - I mean other than client shoots.

Thanks. The first day shots were a little flat, as it was an hazy morning. The last day shots came out clearer. I'm surprised they turned out, as I just quick snapped them, cuz we had a busy day ahead of us.

I'm really glad I did now!

Ever since the movie! If I didn't have my little fish tank, with "Nemo" in it before the movie came out, I'm sure she would have affixed herself to something like Hello Kitty.

I didn't realize until I reviewed the shots on the computer. It reminded me of the shots I took on the first day, and I compared them side-by-side and I was overcome with how much she changed.

With infants, you can see them change, as they change so fast, but with school-age kids, they change so gradually that it's tough to pick up. I remember all of her friends from the first of the year and look back on their photos and they've changed so much as well.

I really should have taken more photos during the year.

Thank you so much. She's always been a ham for the camera. My younger one doesn't ham it up so much.

I'm wondering how long that will last! She went the other day to the "Resurfacing of the Subs" at Disneyland (it's been shut down for a while now) - remodeled as a "Nemo" ride. Stood 2.5 hours in the blazing sun waiting to get on the first day it opens.

She talked about it all week.

Thank you, and thank you! I make a lot of those artsy type things, and no one ever likes them. I'm really glad you did.

I spent all last nite looking at her baby photos (all digital now), and some cheezy video I shot with my pocket digicam. The teacher sent home a DVD as well, but I can't bear to watch it too many times, cuz I well up with tears.
