But what would you come up with. Start with the preshot and give it a blast. Lets see how many different interpretations we can come up with. Get in fast as it will get harder and harder to do if we all join in. Please post your pics and say how you have created yours

This could be great fun, don't hold back, let the creativity flow

  3. This was fun - thanks for posting. Effect done with a cartoon action (Mareda Cartoon Action) and then an edge action by Mike Warren. Did some minor touching up here and there.

    Hi Ray

That really is superb. Do you fancy talking us through the process?

These are some way good images, but Ray's is jaw dropping. Ray, what do you eat to feed an imagination like yours?

    Thanks so much

Really very kind words and much appreciated....

The process was to first find a replacement background which I usually google....had this one on disk though from a previous search.

I then made adjustments to the original image such as levels and curves to make it pop a litle...

Then I masked out the area where the background would go.

Dropped the new background in and used a soft brush to blend in (on the mask) to avoid any severe lines or joins.

I then flatteneded the image and made some more adjustments of levels and curves to finish off.

Fun to do and really pleased that you like it.

    Best wishes

    Ray

    Hi Ray

Many thanks for that. Of course one thing you failed to mention was ignite the imagination :smile:

As MurphyD asked - what do you feed it on :biggrin:

A few years ago all a photographer had to do was get a photograph that was clear and sharp. Now thats expected and not mentioned. To keep ahead of the pack needs a lot more.

Artists like Salvador Dali of course created abstract art years ago but its now the turn of the photographer.

  16. Ray is the man! great fix, I was going to try a similar idea but it can't be better so I'll be humble and let perfection stand unchallenged.

Ray you must post more keep looking but have not seen much :(

And again well done my friend!

    Basic processing

    Corrected dull image
    equalized sky
    removed distractions
    corrected skin tone a bit
    cropped and straightened horizon line
messed up on the horizon line between sky and sea...oh well!!!

Like your rendition a lot. How did you get rid of the bag at their feet and still have feet showing? Think you composition is excellent....
