What's blooming now in the Southern Apps...

  2. Very nice shots of two of my favorites, Jim.

    I'm a fair ways from the mountains, but both are also blooming in the woods near my house. Hope to do some shooting this weekend!

    I realize that the leaf blocking the view of the rhododendron is distracting, but when photographing natural subjects I prefer not to intrude, and there was no angle I could get to in that jungle that was any better. And I really like the sunlight highlighting the blossom.
