Ya it can work on D40 and D60... Anything else?

Why start a new thread to ask that?

Nikon claims it will have gorgeous bokeh and sharper wide open than the current 50/1.4. I'm not sure it can beat the new Sigma version though.

This is excellent news for the tens of thousands of D40, D40x and D60 users out there! Well, at least the ones who are willing to pay for it.....

    Pros:
    1. AFS - will work with D40 and D60
    2. AFS - AF with full-time manual override
    3. Sharper
    4. 9 blade rounded diaphram for rounder OOF highlights (probably better bokeh too)
    5. Probably better contrast too

    Cons:
    1. non standard 58mm filter (I expect others primes with this size soon)
    2. G type won't work with older cameras

  6. I really want one and best of all it's going to cost less than the Sigma. I think that fact alone has a lot of people waiting in anticipation.
