    enough is enough....

All I have done is cropped the original.

    Straight out of camera.

OK...I could do PWL, put a glow on the image, perhaps midnight sepia, levels, curves, smudge....

When do you say,,,,that does not need any more.....

    Here is the image...

Your comments and ideas would be most appreciated.

    I love it.
Maria in the middle of thos flowers is really neat.

I might lighten her face some
I might even think of putting it in an oval frame:>))))
    Hung on the wall
  3. Gorgeous Ray. what a Cutie!....
maybe a "slightly" tighter crop on the sides?? bringing more emphasis on the Subject??
  4. Hi, Ray
Maria makes such a lovely flower girl!
    I really like this shot.
Only thing I can suggest is to light the shadows around her face.

    aka beaucamera

Oh, I tried a version too. Please ask Maria what she thinks.

    Thanks everyone

    Feedback much appreciated....

I do like this one (one of those rare events when you actually like what you have shot) and would like to frame it.

Virginia, maria loves your version and funnily enough, Ann said to me, how about an oval frame; so now, we got one!!!!!!

    Many thanks and best wishes

  7. Great shot Ray... I love the setting you found. Really nice.

The only thing I'd do is correct the sun's reflection off her hair and perhaps work a bit on the shadows/highlights.

Oh, and a good frame for the wall....

    Here's an edit...

Beautiful Ray, glad you framed, how could you not!

You have a pretty model and scenic places, what more could you ask for :)

Props to bandnuts for the appropriate edit  I thought, in general, I'd like to see more top & bottom in the picture (crop-wise), and the highlights were stark. So I figured why not act like you wanted to blow the picture out (and also lighten the shadows on her face, I used the (feathered & reduced) dodge tool in PS fwiw)

It's an awesome pic though, anyway you look at it.

As far as how much is too much? I think it's like clothing. I may like the color Blue, but I'm not going to wear all Blue clothes everday. Even people that are able to dress in some particular fashion(and think it's highly important!) eventually get sick of that style and move on. I've never understood the appeal of Sepia and all that, but one day I may be the Sepia King! I've found myself liking many different edits of the same thing. Whatcha gonna do? *shrug*
