   If I were in Plainville, Connecticut on Friday and had a couple of hours between appointments, where is a good place to shop for a new lens for the D70?

   Very few if any stores in CT carry Nikon gear anymore. Midtown Photo in Middletown might have something, but I'd call first. Prices can't compete with B&H and the others, so most stores don't stock gear. Simonds in East Hartford is a fun place, they do have consignment Nikon lenses as available. They have alot of digital accessories, large printers, ink, paper and that old stuff they call film.
