    I don't really know....
Never done business with these folks.
I usually buy software from the home company.

I need XP Pro also. So I can up-grade to PSCS3

I am going to check wal-mart and some of the big stores around town
    Office depot
    circuit city etc

I've shopped at Costco for software at their store, they might carry it at costco.com
I've bought from newegg.com before too.
Just a couple more options as you search them out.

    Just curious.

Why do you need XP Pro? The specs say that it works with XP Home SP2.

    Cool.

So, did you find a good place online to buy it? Tiger Direct has a bunch of OEM packages. I checked a few places and everyone I normally deal with has Vista, not XP.

I may be wrong, but I think I'd like to wait for Vista SP 2, before I buy it....

  8. From what I've heard, the places that sell Windows or Photoshop or any other program for unbelievably low prices are selling black market goods (i.e. pirated). They typically come with no books or instructions. That may work for a while, but most of the big companies now have ways to detect this pirated software and the best you could hope for is no support or automatic updates. I guess the worst would be a knock at the door.

The OEM stuff is technically licensed, but usually has restrictions like no support from Microsoft and inability to move to new hardware if you upgrade. Probably worth it for XP...
