Which version is better?

    I am trying to decide which one looks better (street scene in Miami Beach).

    #1 closer to the original but with some cloning out of stuff. The original RAW was dark due to light contrast on a dark (tree canopy) street. Some curves and USM done.

    I'll go with #3 as well... You should check out Daniel Diaz's BW conversion - I think it could work wonders with this image.

    Is used Channel Mixer. Do you have a link to Diaz's?
