    Seems I took a shot of this guy and my ev setting blew it out... Oh well another day another ibis will come.

    Yup. I was using the 200-400VR and I can't hand-hold it except in an emergency. I posted some pics of Sandhill Crane chicks (now somewhere near the bottom of the page) that were taken handheld and VR saved the day, but I wouldn't want to push my luck.

    I have been having a heck of a time with motion blur...I think the camera and 70-200 is just a tad bit too heavy and I am unable to hold it still...I have to play more w/ the monopod, but i still move. I need a good tripod...next on my list..LOL
  7. Great job on the exposure thes guys are tough to get right overcast weather helps with these guys

    Those are really good shots. Great detail and you handled a difficult exposure very well.
