I don't have any constructive comments other than, I like it. You did a great job with the eye and bill. There's feather detail visible and you controlled the whites and reds, which are both tough. Interesting background too.

Thanks Baxter, just trying to learn to take better pics.

i like it except i wonder about the red, did you bump the red in PP
there also appears to be some loss of feather detail on some of the white

p.s. if you hadn't asked for C&C i woulda said 'nice shot' so my comments are ultra picky as if the shot was mine

Randy

I post pictures on here so they can be evaluated and I always appreciate true comments back. I'm here to learn and take better pics.

The red was not bumped up, this is why I took the shoot. I tought the colors where pretty cool. I agree with you on loss of feather detail.

Thanks for the comments.

Mike,

The red does seems a bit off.
Framing is a bit tight.
If you want to shoot me the Raw file, I can help you later tonight.

The red hit me too. I was in Florida a month ago so I do not know if the reds are a lot more saturated than it was then.
RAW is much better - it takes more steps and time to pp - but it is worth it.

I agree with you Allan, I might have played with something in photo shop. I'll go back and check.
