White water kayaking

Discussion in 'Photojournalism, Candids and Street Photography' started by Elf_8, Oct 1, 2005.

  1. Not my kind of shooting, but since I was offered the opportunity :

All with D70, ISO 200, Sigma 70-200 HSM at 200mm + 1.4 TC at f 5 with shutter speed ranging from 1/1500 to 1/2500 sec.

    Great images Christian..

Look at that expression on the third image :>))

    Really good shooting.
    Like them all.
  4. Quite a chance that the water is still quite warm for this time of year, I would not like to capsize. Great captures.
  5. This was a group in training. I was impressed by the equipment and procedures followed to insure the safety of all. I would rather prefer kayaking in open and calm waters, but I have to admit that this seemed to be an adrenalin booster (boy, do I need this?). As noted, #3 shows it openly.
