I took these pictures with my D90 and 70-300 VR last Saturday at a pond near my house. All taken at 300mm with no cropping. I had a hard time getting close to the bird because I had a red shirt on! oops

I still don't know how to post the pictures here. Can someone give me a link to instructions on this? Thanks!

Nice shots
The way to insert pics here (or at least how I do it) is to get the direct link to the pictures, I got the links to your pics by opening the links you provided and right clicking on the pic and selecting properties (unless it is provided on the hosting page).
You copy the link and then press on the INSERT IMAGE icon when entering your post, an address box will open, you paste the link there, but be sure not to repeat the "http://".
For example, your pics have the links:
Without the "
You can edit your post and fix it.
Hope it helps.

The 55-200 VR is a great SHARP lens. Great photo! Is it cropped? or did you really get that close?

Oh-oh... this might turn into another one of those 70-300 VR threads causing some members to break out the credit card :)

Great pictures Fitzz. I haven't gotten to try mine out at sports yet, but it looks like it's good at it!
