Caught this at the end of a day on the trail. Not sure if he wanted to see what's on the menu or be on the menu, but I suspect he didn't like seeing a rival Tom on the other side of the door. Or maybe it's because he needed shoes... This is a 100% wild turkey.

I thought this was a great opportunity, I mean how often can one get this close to a wild turkey? Then I looked down and found a hen at my feet pecking away without a care in the world.

And one of the locals on the trail at Bryce, hard contrasty light, my favorite.

Thanks, all. The light was terrible, overcast and after 5:eek: o. Just couldn't get the speed up enough, but knew I had to get this one.

"I bet that Turkey is wondering why his rival wont back down!!!"

Good point, Bruce. It must have made him wonder, he was the biggest one there. All day long I could hear them gobble around the park. What a hoot!
