Critique Wine Corks

Discussion in 'Miscellany' started by Mike Buckley, Aug 10, 2018.

  1. Friends who live in South Africa gave my wife and me this heart-shaped board, which stores 130 wine corks. I add a cork to the board any time the wine and/or the occasion are special for whatever reason. After adding corks to it for the last 2 1/2 years, I finally filled it up a few days ago. I took these photos to indicate the progress being made and sent them to my friends as a show of appreciation. The last two photos were made today.

The boards are such an enjoyable part of my wine hobby that I bought three more. Those won't be filled as fast as the first one, so I think they'll last at least 10 years and maybe 12 to 15 years.

  2. I'd need more "heart" to make it through a year...Although the emergence of screw caps would make it last longer. Nice shooting - #6 is my favorite.

Nice story Mike, and with images that can stand alone outside of the narrative. I particularly like #4.

  4. I remember some of your images with that board Mike. #4 is my fav.
