My son works as a software engineer and team leader at a small defense contractor. They treat their employees very well. Since a traditional Christmas party was out, they did a Zoom get-together and played bingo (with some very nice prizes). Our son came to our house and we did the Zoom bingo from here. The company delivered catered food and drink so we ate (and drank) well. The wine was Austin Hope Paso Robles (2018). I don't know much about wine evaluation but I do like big cabernets and this one is excellent. Too expensive for me but now I know what a fifty-dollar wine tastes like.

Had a work trip up to Trento. Being a lousy day I visited a small local vineyard and stocked up with their excellent Teroldego, Lagrein and Marzemino, all at €10 for 5 litres "bag in box" which is much cheaper than buying bottles.

came back with 25 litres, which should keep us sane in our new "Lockdown" world.
